Fees

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation prior to booking the first session.

My rate is $130 per 50-minute individual therapy session.

I believe in making therapy accessible, so sliding scale rates are available on a limited basis for clients with financial need.

Contact me for additional information regarding sliding scale rates and availability.

Payment

For California clients, I accept almost any kind of credit or debit card, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Discover, Diners Club, as well as Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards.
Payment will be collected at the time of service securely through Stripe.

Cancellation Policy
In order to get the most benefit from therapy, it is important that you attend your scheduled appointments. If you discover that you will not be able to make it to an appointment, I ask that you please notify me as soon as possible. If you do not show for a scheduled therapy session and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full rate for the session. This fee can be waived in case of illness or emergency.
Insurance
I am not currently accepting insurance. This is an intentional decision in order to provide greater confidentiality and freedom in health care choices for my clients. I reject the medical model of mental healthcare that would require me to diagnose every client with a mental health disorder in order to prove the medical necessity of your therapy. By not using insurance, we have the freedom to work together without creating a medical record that might limit your future life choices, such as access to health and life insurance, and certain employment opportunities.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
